A 70's Inspired Photoshoot
If you are someone who knows me well, you might say that I have an obvious love for all things 1970s. I have a huge appreciation for the music, the fashion trends and the lifestyle. Growing up I listened to icons such as Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Fleetwood Mac and so much more. I watched popular actors such as John Travolta, Meryl Streep and others. My parents were also a product of the era - growing up in the heart of the trends and music. Since this is the case, I drew inspiration from outfits and free spirited personalities at an early age. To this day I am still influenced by the 70s - with bell bottoms, hair scarves and makeup trends as part of my wardrobe even now.
When my friend, Mikayla, told me she wanted to do a 70s inspired photoshoot for a class project, we got our gang together and made it happen! We all dressed up in our best 70s looks and we headed to the roller rink. I was so excited to do this, as I had just bought a pair of GORGEOUS raw hem bell bottoms and wanted any excuse to wear them. Despite not knowing how to skate (even falling flat on my face at one point) it was SO MUCH FUN and I would definitely get dressed up and do it all over again! Here's a snippet to how the shoot turned out (and all of my outfit details and other information will be listed below):
